Hey guys! I'm super excited about this event!
THE ANNUAL COUNTY DANCE!
This years theme is Time Machine. You can come as a caveman from the prehistoric age, you can come as a hippie from the 70's, or even a robot from the future! The dance will feature music from all era's.
The dance will be at the extension office (200 Taylor Street, 5th floor) on Friday, April 15, at 7:00 p.m. Families are encouraged to bring a snack/bevarage for the thirsty and hungry kids to snack on!
Hope to see you all there, and I'm looking forward to High-fiving a caveman or a hippie!

4-H has Talent!
For all you talented 4-H'ers out there...
How would it feel to be on stage in front of nearly 3,000 other 4-H'ers?
If you think it would be AWESOME, then I have the competition for you! 4-H has talent is a HUGE competition that will make you feel like you're on 'American Idol'. Simply upload a video of yourself doing your talent, and you're entered! (Note: Intermediate's and Senior's only, sorry Junior's!) After you post your video, some judges will select 10 finalists, and take them to hollywood (Or um, Texas A&M) on Tuesday, June 14th. Then after all 10 finish preforming, the AUDIANCE will choose VIA TEXT MESSAGE who is the winner! Top two entries get CASH PRIZES! Pretty neat huh?
Entry Deadline: April 1st.
See y'all there,
Amanda

Last week I...
Hey guys! Sorry I haven't updated in a bit, but look at the 4-H filled week I've had!
On Monday: I went to the County Council Meeting in Downtown Fort Worth, which was a ton of fun!
On Tuesday: After my mom wrapped up her 4-H Junior Master Gardener lesson, my family took off to On the Border, where I ate tacos and saw 4-Her's all over the place!

On Thursday: I began to think of my outfit for the up coming 4-H Dance
On Friday: I went to a class on cake decorating, which I think will help me when I go to upcoming Food Competitions.
So even if I don't update this blog for a little while, there's still tons of 4-H stuff to be done!
Talk to Ya'll Later,

TCJLS
Unless you've been living under a blog-less rock, you probably know that last Thursday through Saturday was the Tarrant County Junior Livestock Show!!!
And with over 500 entries in all in the Youth Fair, I don't think many people were hiding out under a blog-less rock ;)
4-H was represented well by all the members who participated in the Tarrant County Junior Livestock Show. I know for fact that many of the winners in the competition were 4-H members!
Good job to all that participated!
~Amanda
P.S. In case you missed it, we got a story about us in the Fort Worth Star Telegram on Saturday AND Sunday!!!
