Westside 4-H: Community Service

Goodness, I haven't posted on this thing in forever.  For those of you who probably don't remember who I am, my name is Amanda Roach, and I was the 2010-2011 Reporter.  Now, Will Babler and I are the 2011-2012 historians.  One of my projects I've taken on through being Historian is bringing my old blog back to life, with pictures of everything going on in Tarrant County 4-H.  Just like these:

The Westside 4-H club recently did this community service project to cover up Gang Graffiti with Youth Art.  Studies find that murals have proven to be an effective means of deterring graffiti from appearing on public and private structures.  I think that it just looks AWESOME!  Good job, Westside!

If you have any questions please contact Larissa Daily at lvdaily2006@yahoo.com or give her a call at 214-402-5314.
I'll definitely be there, you guys should too!

Last week I...

Hey guys!  Sorry I haven't updated in a bit, but look at the 4-H filled week I've had!
On Monday: I went to the County Council Meeting in Downtown Fort Worth, which was a ton of fun!
On Tuesday: After my mom wrapped up her 4-H Junior Master Gardener lesson, my family took off to On the Border, where I ate tacos and saw 4-Her's all over the place!
On Wednesday: One of my friends and I finished the script for our skit for the up coming Share-the-Fun Talent show.
On Thursday: I began to think of my outfit for the up coming 4-H Dance
On Friday: I went to a class on cake decorating, which I think will help me when I go to upcoming Food Competitions.
So even if I don't update this blog for a little while, there's still tons of 4-H stuff to be done!

Talk to Ya'll Later,
~Amanda
