2012 Texas 4-H Congress

Texas 4-H Congress is a premiere citizenship and leadership event for the Texas 4-H and Youth Development Program. It allows 4-H members from across Texas to experience the legislative process by serving as a member of the House or Senate as they consider, debate, and vote on legislative bills.

The selection process can be challenging. Each applicant must consider a need, research, and compose a bill for legislative action.

Seven Tarrant County 4-H members received the honor of selection for the 2012 program. Serving in various roles, they participated in committees, revisions, lobbying, and serving as members of the House and Senate. They have just returned and are stating that it was a great learning experience!

Members who participated are: Cameron Flippo, Amber Greenwood, Steven Harris, Daniel Harrison, Megan Maynard, Skye Segovia, and Luke Womble.
