County Council Meeting tonight!

Hey, everyone!  The Tarrant County 4-H Council would like to invite everyone to the first County Council meeting of this 4-H year!  Although Club Presidents and Council Delegates are required to come, any 4-H member may attend.
The meeting begins at 6:30 (Generally lasts under an hour), and we have our guest speaker of Katy Bell discussing Cake Decorating.
Just a note: There is NOT an ALA meeting tonight.

County Banquet 2014

Everyone had a fantastic time at this year's Western Themed County Banquet!  We had hay bales, cowboy hats, boots, and more!
It was a fantastic night, and we hope to see everyone participating even more throughout the rest of the year!  (Let's win back our trophy!!!)

Club Officer Training!

CALLING ALL UPCOMING CLUB OFFICERS!!!

The Annual Tarrant County 4-H Club Officer Training is coming up, and we want YOU to be there!

Date: August 4th
Time: 2-4 PM
Refreshments will be provided!
We will have fun with Teambuilding Games, learning from County Council officers, getting to know other officers throughout Tarrant County, and MORE!

Denton Latham - Under the Same Sun

Congratulations to Tarrant County's own Denton Latham for winning 1st place in Solo/Band Performance at State Share-the-Fun!  Great job, Denton!

Summer Bash!

Once Recordbooks are done, what are you going to do with your time?!?!?

One thing you could do to occupy your time is attend the 1^st Ever Tarrant County 4-H Summer Bash!

We’ll be watching a fun movie, eating some yummy cold snacks, and more!

Date: Friday, June 20^th (The day after Recordbooks are due)

Time: 6:30-9:00

Movie: Emperor’s New Groove

Ages: All 4-H ages are welcome to come – from Clovers to Seniors!

Place: County Extension Office, 5^th Floor

Deadlines, Deadlines, Deadlines!

Today is the deadline to get your WINTER FORMAL tickets for only $5.  That includes a nice Italian dinner, dancing, and fun!
This is a prom-like event, so please dress to the occasion.  Also, dates are OPTIONAL, and you can invite non-4-Her friends to come, as well.
Please e-mail your RSVP to tarrantyouthcouncil@gmail.com with your name/guests name TODAY to get tickets for $5.  After that, Ticket prices go up to $20, so get them while they're less expensive!
The deadline to RSVP is THIS MONDAY, and we only have 10 spots available!

Trinity Trash Bash!

The annual Trinity River Trash Bash was conducted on Saturday, September 21.  4-H members from Straight Shooters 4-H, East Fort Worth 4-H, Poly High School 4-H,  Saginaw 4-H, Vets of Tomorrow, and Voyage 4-H participated in the cleanup.  It is amazing what a community can do when everybody works together.  This year’s event was a remarkable success with more than 3,600 community volunteers and trash collection totals exceeding 11 tons.

Following the cleanup, 4-H Ambassadors hosted 4-H information booths at the celebration event at Panther Pavilion.

4-H isn't just about animals!  It's about tons of other fun projects, too, like clothing and textiles, leadership, food and nutrition, recreation, photography, and tons more!
